Marshall Anthony Rutter

Marshall Rutter is an accomplished, measured, sensible and very empathetic attorney with decades of experience in practicing law. When I initially contacted Marshall, he suggested that my spouse and I try to resolve our problem using professional help instead of proceeding with our divorce. I found ...Marshall's suggestion surprising, and later, honest and helpful. Marshall was of the opinion that resolution is always preferable to a divorce. Nonetheless, seeing no solution in my blinding need for revenge, I filed for divorce. Marshall walked me through the process with patience, clarity, and compassion. He was confident that my outcome was going to be very fair. He had seen cases identical to mine, and told me not to worry. He assured me that he had dealt with much more complex cases that resulted in very good outcomes. Three months after having my spouse served, I decided to contact my spouse of 28 years because I truly did miss her. We began speaking. I reluctantly called Marshall to tell him that we were thinking about reconciling. I feared he would be disappointed in my lack of resolve, and stamina. Instead, he sounded happy for us, while at the same time, warning me NOT to sign anything, or even enter into a verbal agreement with my spouse. Everything, and anything would have to go past him for a smell-test. Marshall told me to take my time, and that he would keep my case on a hot-plate, just in case things did not work out between my spouse and me. I call that ''Being Professional'', and ''Being Ethical''. Marshall could have easily talked me out of my decision by frightening me, so that he could bill me to death. But, no. Marshall assured me again that despite all of the negative and truthful things I had said about my wife, he much preferred we resolve our differences, and change our ways towards each other. He wanted our happiness to be genuine. Marshall is a gem.
