Father's Right Attorney

I owe Kristen more than she will ever know! After having 6 consultations with different attorneys, each one of them claimed I would have difficulty fighting for custody of my daughter. Kristen was the only attorney who said that she fights for fathers. At that moment, I knew I would retain her serv...ices. The results of my case exceeding what I was initially expecting, Kristen went above and beyond throughout each part of it. In all her correspondence with the opposing counsel she specifically used myself and my daughters’ name, not merely “my client” or “child”. She was intent on making it known that I was more than a client and my daughter was more than child. You will be hard-pressed to find legal counsel that does such a thing. Kristen was also very prompt when it came back to responding to emails or phone calls. She always made time for me and I did not feel that I was hold at any time. She will always get back to you in a timely manner. You never feel like she has other priorities other than dealing with your specific case! It is also important to note that Kristen will not sugar-coat anything with you. She will give realistic expectations of what can, and mostly likely, will happen. You will always get truth and honesty in the same room with her, and that gives me the upmost confidence in her. Listen to her, she knows what she is doing and will give you the best plan moving forward! I would not have the relationship I have with my daughter today without Kristen. That, to me, is invaluable. Kristen with her legal wisdom, planning, and honest conversations with me, made it all possible to be where I am today. Finally, Kristen’s greatest strength is compassion. This did not feel like I was just another client, but she understood how much I loved my daughter wanted to be a part of her life. She always encouraged me about my daughter and in the end, we got what we wanted.

An excellent divorce attorney

Where do I begin?!? Kristen Howard was Excellent! I had to fire my first divorce attorney (horrible, stressful experience) and was referred to Kristin... whom I wish was my original choice! Kristen is kind... nice... understanding... smart and GOOD! She Takes Care of Business, will fight for you and ...is extremely professional. Kristen explained everything to me and advised me in what was Best for ME! She Is Active In Your Case and keeps you in the loop. Her billing system is clear and you know exactly what you are paying for. One I got on the team with Kristin my divorce moved forward and was finalized. I HIGHLY recommend Kristen! She made the process faster, easier and way more less stressful!

Calm In The Midst of A Storm

Kristen and the entire team at Makupson & Howard demonstrated a family-centric approach to my case which was of utmost importance to me. Having experienced 2 prior marital separations and facing a very daunting situation, they helped me manage the legal and mental health issues, providing alternative...s to preserve resources and minimize the impact of the dissolution on my family. Finally, after enduring a lengthy, contentious (sadly the case is not resolved yet) custody evaluation, Kristen helped me assess my alternatives and suggested an alternative which has been invaluable for my sanity and retention of resources needed to support my children. Compassion and the family-centered approach are what helped me maintain my sanity and what I appreciate the most from the team.

An Absolutely Amazing Family Law Attorney

Kristen Howard is an incredibly knowledgable, honest, hardworking, diligent, and professional family law attorney. I interviewed and consulted with two other attorneys/law offices, prior to hiring her, and from the moment I sat down in the conference room with Kristen, I knew I had found my attorney.... Over the past seven months, Kristen has advised and helped me through one of the most challenging situations of my life - a move away, custody case with my daughter. This custody case was so emotional and stressful and I am beyond grateful and appreciative for Kristen's legal expertise and guidance during this challenging time. Kristen was always accessible and/or available to speak via phone or to meet face to face. Kristen left no stone unturned, as she thought of everything in regards to the legal aspects of my custody case! She filed all paperwork in a timely manner and met and conferred with the opposing party, when necessary. Kristen responded to all emails immediately and with clear, concise responses. Kristen is one the most organized, thorough, and detailed individuals I have ever met, and her vast knowledge and understanding of family law is nothing short of amazing! What impressed me the most, however, was Kristen's professionalism, demeanor, and presence in court.
