Kelly Gene Richardson

Mr. Richardson is a veteran business trial lawyer who has established himself as a true leader in the field of homeowners association and real estate law.

He has prosecuted and defended major claims in construction, corporate and real estate law, as well as claims of breach of contract, franchise fraud, personal injury, unfair competition, wrongful death, breach of fiduciary duty and banking negligence. In construction litigation, Mr. Richardson has achieved more than $57 million in recovery for property owners, as well as assisted builders to resolve claims economically and without adverse publicity. In addition, he has provided ongoing legal support in more than $170 million worth of construction projects and bank foreclosed assets, and continues to counsel residential developers and construction lenders on risk management.

Heavily committed to the local real estate industry, Mr. Richardson serves as legal counsel for several Southern California area Associations of Realtors® and is a member of the Legal Affairs Forum and Housing Committee of the California Association of Realtors® (CAR). He is a faculty member and contributing author for the Professional Realty Institute, teaching GRI coursework on risk management, construction and development issues to more than 600 Realtors® annually. He is a popular lecturer to Associations of Realtors®, professional real estate organizations and major brokerages on topics ranging from construction defect and conflict resolution to cutting-edge technology-based topics, such as legal issues pertaining to social networking, email and websites.

Mr. Richardson is licensed to practice before all California state and local federal jurisdictions, and is a member of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar, Los Angeles County and Pasadena Bar Associations, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.
