I was disciplined for failing to complete my mandatory continuing legal education requirements in 2013. All lawyers are required to participate in a specified amount of ongoing legal education and I did not complete mine that year. I am not proud of that and I’m embarrassed that the State Bar chose to discipline me publicly for it, but it had nothing to do with client care or my competence as a lawyer.
I have been practicing immigration law since 1994. During that time I have had the privilege of assisting companies, families, and individuals with a wide array of immigration issues, from family visas and the citizenship process to student and business visas. I have always loved helping people and practicing immigration law has allowed me to do what I love every day.
