SB-1 is for people who remained outside of the US for longer that they intended upon departure due to circumstances beyond their control. 10 years...

You can usually make changes to the Form at the time of the interview, as long as you can explain the "errors."

You could provide BOTH what they are asking for and a new I-864 from a joint sponsor and hope for the best.
