My legal practice focuses on providing high quality, personalized criminal defense representation to each of my clients. In each case, I rely on my 14 years of experience as a criminal defense lawyer, trial attorney and a civil rights attorney as I look for every opportunity to undermine the prosecutor's theory both legally and factually. As a supplement to my legal experience, I also draw on the skills I developed as a public school teacher before law school and as a father of two after.  The philosophy underlying my approach to every case is to persude and achieve my client's goal by  "educating" the judge, the prosecutor and/or the jury in a way such that they open up to understanding the case from my perspective. The reality is that trial is a very high stakes risk that defendants are unwilling -- and often should not --- take.  So, it is imperative to me that I use my skills, working closely with my clients, their families, experts, employers, clergymen or anyone else that can help, to redefine the case and the defendant in ways that will impact the prosecutor or judge positively.  In that way, I work to connect a real person to each case for the prosecutor and position my client's apart from the stack of faceless files on the prosecutor's desk so that a better, more appropriate, and more just result is possible instead being locked into the prosecutor's default "standard" deal. And the results I have produced for my clients through my unique, personal approach have been consistently excellent
