As an attorney for over 30 years Ms. McLarnan-Dugan has developed a law practice handling all aspects of family law matters. Since starting in practice in 1993 she has handled over 1,000 Family, Conservatorship, Guardianship, Probate cases, and Estate Planning. She handles both contested trials and uncontested matters. While she has found that the best and least costly results for her clients come from a negotiated settlement that all parties are agreeable to live with, there are other matters that simply cannot be settled and require the Court to make a determination. An experienced litigator, Ms. McLarnan-Dugan is well versed in the procedures in the courtroom needed to get a case through trial.
Ms. McLarnan-Dugan understands what happens when you file for a divorce – the pain, suffering, and uncertainty of not knowing what is going to happen. She will work with you to handle your case with the personalized care and attention you deserve. She is there to answer your questions and provide you with the best information available to assist you in making correct decisions. She will be proactive in ensuring that your life and the lives of your children are taken care of so that you are able to go on with your lives with as little emotional upheaval as possible. She will not engage in needless litigation for the sake of litigation, and will encourage settlement where appropriate.
Ms. McLarnan-Dugan understands that life is uncertain. You, your estate and your beneficiaries are unique. She will work with you to create an individualized Estate Plan that meets your needs. She will also help you plan for the unexpected should something happen to you and you are unable to handle your own affairs. She will help you plan for the care of your youngest family members should something happen to you. She will also assist parents in establishing Special Needs Trusts to protect the child's government benefits, making sure they continue to receive them.
Ms. McLarnan-Dugan works with families with special needs children in helping them locate much needed services and protect the child's government benefits. As the child approaches 18 years of age she assists parents in obtaining a limited conservatorship so that parents can continue to help their special needs child make decisions as to medical treatment, educational decisions, and living arrangements.
She is a member of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar, the Pasadena Bar, 2019 President of Pasadena Bar Association, Co-Founder of Minor's at Risk Caucus, Chair of the Pasadena Family Law Bar (2011-2014), Co-Founder of the Pasadena Bar Women's Focus Group, member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. one of the organizers of Women Networking 4 Women a fund raising group for women's charities, I was named a Top Pasadena Attorney in 2012-2023.

"I have know Linda for about 10 years. I see her regularly at networking events and at continuing legal education courses. I have also spoken to Linda by phone regarding my practice and questions that come up from time to time. Linda is an experienced attorney and is very giving of herself and her time to her colleagues and friends. She also speaks and presents at local bar association events. She is also very active in the Pasadena community on important causes outside of the practice law. I recommend and endorse Linda."
