Client was 102 years old. She survived the Great Depression and feared banks. She kept all her cash (over $200,000) in her house. When she ran out of cash to privately pay for NH, her agent under a P ... OA asked us to qualify her for Medicaid, even though she owned her home. In short, we got her approved for Medicaid benefits even after disclosing the large number of undocumented payments to the NH. We were also able to protect the home after a Fair Hearing.
