If i am ordered to appear at a deposition from a subpoena in a workers compensation case, as am unable to appear, what happens?

You are required to appear and you can show the subpoena to your new employer and they should understand.
However, the date is not set in stone....

Turn it over to your mom's insurance. Pay the deductible and get the car fixed. Your mom's insurance will attempt to recover your deductible.
