Thu Thi Vo

Ms. Vo is co-founder of JV LAW GROUP, LLP. Ms. Vo attended the University of Kansas for her undergraduate education. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she attended law school at the University of Kansas School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate degree. Ms. Vo is a licensed attorney and member of the California Bar. Ms. Vo is licensed to practice law in the State of California and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Ms. Vo has worked as in-house counsel for an import company and a lead attorney in tax controversy cases. As general counsel, she reviewed business contracts, negotiated leases, and provided legal guidance to the company’s administrative and managerial staff. She also worked with outside counsel to resolve complex litigation issues. Ms. Vo has spent several years representing taxpayers in connection with collection matters before the Internal Revenue Service and many state tax agencies. She assisted her clients in negotiating a settlement of their tax debt, wage levy release, innocent spouse relief, lien subordination, lien release, and reduction of assessed penalties. Ms. Vo also represented taxpayers in the audit stage and the appeals process with favorable results for her clients. She has extensive experience in representing taxpayer clients in all stages of the collection and appeals process before the federal government and numerous state tax agencies. She also counseled clients on business formations and tax planning to identify tax saving strategies.
