Joe Prencipe

Joe Prencipe is an international business, corporate, and finance attorney. He was initially trained in Tokyo at the leader of the Magic Circle of top international law firms, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He also practiced law at one of the top-5 largest law firms in the world, Baker McKenzie. Before working at these law firms, he summered at Morgan Lewis Bockius, clerked at the SEC Division of Enforcement, and clerked at the Seattle City Attorney's Office.

In addition to working at law firms, Joe has worked in-house at technology businesses. Those businesses include the Elon Musk ideated business associated with Richard Branson, Virgin Hyperloop One. Joe and his colleagues John McLear and Chris Leach founded the first advanced wearables company worldwide (exc. step trackers), before Apple and Samsung. Joe also co-founded and built the business Sizzle, which they sold to major ecommerce tech company GoPuff and is now known as GoPuff Kitchens.

Joe is fluent in Japanese. He studied at the University of Tokyo under the Gilman Scholarship and at Waseda Law School, the leading universities in Japan. Joe graduated with a B.A. at the UW with honours, where he studied mathematical symbolic logic under professor emeritus David Keyt. Joe graduated with a J.D. from the UW School of Law.
