Andrea Marcy Tytell

We hired Andrea to represent our family in the IEP process for our special needs son, while my wife was dying of leukemia. Andrea made a promise to my wife before she died that she would take care of our son. Andrea stood by her promise, and the results have been nothing short of amazing! My son... started middle school grieving the loss of his mother, and struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and Tourette's. Our experience before hiring Andrea was that we were bullied and condescended upon by the public school district. With Andrea as our son's advocate, the school totally changed their attitude. Andrea professionally and forcefully pushed for what our son needed, even when the conversations with the school became contentious. She was a "bulldog" in our corner, always present to fight for our son. The school district respected her, and she had long term relationships with some key people there. The good news is that our son is now, three years later, wrapping up middle school. Thanks to the IEP provisions that Andrea helped us obtain, he has excelled in school. I highly recommend Andrea!

It’s not easy bringing someone on board when you feel de...sperate and, to be honest, you can get suspicious as there are opportunists abound. (We were rolled by a “Placement Expert” months prior so we were suspicious of bringing anyone new on board) She is not only part of our daughters’ team, but has also connected with us like family. She knows this space very well, she is cordial and – rightfully so – has also called us out when we didn’t keep our eyes on the prize, and that is our daughter’s well-being. Andrea and her staff have helped guide us through some VERY treacherous minefields of IEP’s and RTC’s miscommunications, etc. She gave us something we could not have received without her—A peace of mind and a decent night’s sleep. While one never seeks the services of an attorney under optimal circumstances, I am so grateful and blessed to have found Andrea M. Tytell. Ms. Tytell helped me get my child placed in a residential treatment program funded by the school district. I had tried to do this with two other attorneys who... were unsuccesful. Ms. Tytells knowledge of the law and special education regulations coupled with her work ethic and relationships with the parties involved were a magic recipe for our success and my child's welfare. She always returned my phone calls and even gave me her personal cell phone number in case of emergency. I never had to use it because both she and her office were always responsive to my questions. In response to the negative posts about Ms. Tytell, there obviously must be something deeper at issue with the poster because her service and the entire office are nothing but professional and competent.

Andrea Tytell handled a divorce for me last year. She was able to guide me and achieve a harmonious resolution to what could have been an acrimonious, devastating and ongoing matter.
