My father died in 1994, and Lori was the probate lawyer. For the most part things went smoothly, but I recently got a call from Mr. Mangiamele's office (Lori's one-time partner) that a group of savings bonds in my father's name were still in their safe. They all appeared to be present, but they wer...e also in the condition they were in when I took them from my father's safe deposit box -- the registration had not been transferred. It would have been much simpler to transfer registration while the estate was still open, or shortly after it had been closed. Now I have to find the final account.
