Ms. Randera, Managing Attorney, joined the firm to initiate an immigration section, expanding the employment practice. Ms. Randera has expertise in employment-based immigration, working with employers on visa options and petitions. She advised corporations and high-profile individuals on U.S. immigration matters involving entrepreneur and investor visas, and permanent residence E-category visas for treaty traders and investors. She also handled L-1 category visas for intracompany executives, managers and employees. Ms. Randera was responsible for immigrant visa sponsorships for a wide range of employment categories, including extraordinary abilities, multinational executives and professionals. She accompanied clients to adjustment of status interviews with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Ms. Randera began her career in U.S. immigration law at Ganguin Samartin in London, England, where she specialized in business- and family-based immigration to the U.S. She prepared clients for visa interviews and drafted applications and petitions. She also served as a Mini-Pupillage for a group of barristers in London. The role, similar to an intern in the U.S., enabled her to observe hearings at immigration tribunals, where she gained insight into the UK immigration process.
Ms. Randera received her Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she received Certificates of Merit in two classes — Federal Administrative Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She served as President of the International Law Society, Chair of the Environmental Law Society and Secretary of the Hispanic Latino Law Society.
