About Arsen
Biography
Arsen Sarapinian is an experienced attorney based in Beverly Hills and San Francisco. He has successfully litigated civil lawsuits in Northern and Southern California from the discovery phase through jury trial and/or arbitration. He is admitted to practice law in all California state courts, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California. He has argued numerous cases (briefing and oral argument) before the California Court of Appeal. He is an active member of the American Association for Justice (“AAJ”), the Consumer Attorneys of California (“CAOC”), the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Association (“CAALA”), and the Armenian Bar Association.
Prior to this, Mr. Sarapinian held a Senior Counsel position at a specialized trial law firm, where he litigated and resolved high value (7-8 figure) cases in the fields of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, dog maulings, premises liability, civil rights, employment litigation, and real estate law. Mr. Sarapinian is also experienced in complex white-collar class action cases, having worked on antitrust and commercial/securities litigation with the national class action firm, Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy.
Mr. Sarapinian received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he served as Senior Notes Editor on the law school’s flagship law review, the Hastings Law Journal. His article, “Fighting Foreclosure: Using Contract Law to Enforce the Home Affordable Modification Program” was published in the Hastings Law Journal (64 Hastings L.J. 905 (2013)). The article was also awarded UC Hastings’ Albert G. Evans Scholarship in Private Enterprise, and has since been cited in numerous law review articles, as well as in state and federal courts throughout the country. At Hastings, he also served as President of the Hastings Real Estate Society (HRELS) and President of the Armenian Law Students’ Association (ALSA).
Mr. Sarapinian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of San Francisco, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He also minored in Legal Studies and Public Service, was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu: Jesuit Honor Society (USF’s Highest Honor) and Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honor Society), and was on the Dean’s List.
Mr. Sarapinian attributes his track record of prevailing on law and motion matters to his experience working with state and federal judges, having served as a Judicial Extern for United States District Court Judge Elizabeth D. Laporte at the Northern District of California (federal court), as well as for Justice Marvin R. Baxter at the California Supreme Court (California’s highest court). There, he analyzed highly-publicized cases and wrote preliminary decisions on behalf of the courts.
