Angela N. Gill

Angela is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law, as determined by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Angela was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 4, 2008. She graduated from UCLA in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Political Science, and obtained her J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2008.

Angela served as an Assistant United States Attorney here in Los Angeles, California from June 2020 through March of 2025, representing government agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service and the Small Business Administration, in United States Bankruptcy Court and United States District Court matters. Her focus on bankruptcy litigation matters helped to prepare her for her new job with me! While working as an Assistant United States Attorney, Angela handled all aspects of litigation including preparing and responding to complaints, discovery, all kinds of motions, mediations, adversary proceedings, trials and appeals.

From February of 2010 to May of 2020, Angela worked as a Staff Attorney for Chapter 13 Trustee Kathy Dockery here in Los Angeles, California. She represented the Trustee in all aspects of administering a high volume of bankruptcy filings, regularly examining debtors at meetings of creditors and representing the Trustee at confirmation hearings and contested matters.

From June of 2009 to January of 2010, Angela worked as an attorney at a boutique bankruptcy law firm in Los Angeles. She represented consumer debtors in all phases of chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases from intake to discharge.

In the spring of 2007, while still in law school, Angela served as an extern to United States Bankruptcy Court Judger Peter Carroll, then serving in Riverside, California.

While serving as Judge Carroll’s extern, Angela conducted legal research, assisted law clerks in written assignments and observed court hearings and arguments.

Angela is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Punjabi, a language spoken in Pakistan and India. Her interests include calligraphy, tennis and snowboarding.
