Steven Lance Mazza

I was, against my will, referred and transferred to CZR after having been with another law firm for over a year. Despite being sent important paperwork to the wrong address, constant switching around of paralegals and clerks, and the firm barely making the deadline to file suit, I remained patient a...nd did not complain. When I was assigned Mr. Mazza, I was please when he initially called me and noted that the defense was making overtures of settling. I informed him of my BATNA and he said he would do what he could, so I trusted him. My thought was that my original firm, which was very attentive and made sure I was taken care of medically as well as informationally, would not refer me to anyone less capable. I was wrong. CZR, in particular, I believe is a good firm that mostly takes care of the clientele, otherwise they wouldn't remain in business, right? My experience with Mr. Mazza was unanswered phone calls (for over a month), unanswered emails, no concern for my condition (from the accident) at all, and a revolving door of assistants. After a particularly contentious battle of emails (I only needed to insult him once for him to come back at me with disdain, excuses, and repudiated insults), He basically informed me that he didn't want to hear from me, wasn't required to respond, and that he did he job by filing a court date and attending a that only lawyers are required to attend. I requested a new lawyer. Mr. Zuckerman of CZR failed to respond, again, for over a month. I didn't get a new lawyer right away, and I ended up having to go to the original law firm and file a complaint, but I'm happy to say I no longer have to deal with this rude and apathetic attorney.

This attny does not answer calls … does not care about anything but his money he has stolen from clients and I was one and he just was unjust and lied to me about my mediation “settlement” also changed to a trainnee lawyer at the firm a month or two before my case went to trial the “ new attny Daniel..... knew nothing of my case and I was treated badly cussed at .. at my deposition … taken out side and yelled at by Daniel… when I already said I did not want this Lawyer when i got a call out of the blue in Dec of 2013 or Jan… and told he was taking my case … both lawyers were present at my mediation and i was told completely different things before the mediation and during also i had huge life occurrence coming up and was under duress when told to sign.. “ i didn’t want this hanging over me during my ***** “ Steve kept saying if I didn’t sign i would get no money and have to deal with this over my head while going through a major major life changing experience that had come up while the case was going on .. I also had a Dr.s note saying stop all legal proceedings until diagnosed and treated .. I watched my DR fax it to their office 3 times .. also took pictures of it and sent them to the law firm and was told… that someone in their office must have thrown it away… I finally text it to Benji and sent it to all lawyers at the firm by email<< then i was told it was fine… take care of myself… and not even a week later they put a motion to be Relived as counsel on calendar… and it stated i requested it… I did no such thing… so then I had to go against drs orders and call and call for weeks with no answers from Attorneys>> finally i was told if i do the deposition they would take it off calendar… that took months to remove it .. i went to the new depo date… and they also made my mediation the date of a surgery … they had copies of my records i sent them saying please dont’ plan anything here… would not return calls about how i could do all this .. and settle the case…. then i got a letter saying the Mediation was the date of surgery so I had to change that as well … there is a myriad of unethical things done by this lawyer and trainee and firm… to me… I have all the emails and texts and I was also called a file .. “ lets get this file off our desks” was part of an email from Benji to the Defense i was sent a copy.. and also almost a year went by no communication and no response i was okayed for surgery and they wouldn’t answer the dr. nor myself …. I was told they would lower the fees .. and other things .. and they didn’t even get me enough to cover future medical bills… I aced my Deposition and also the defense lied in his and it was so obvious and we had a letter an admission of guilt by the other party never brought into evidence … do not use this Lawyer and take heed to the sanctions he has all kinds of excuses… and also .. I had no choice but to use him.. I was sent there by another Lawyer “sister firm” and the other lawyer was assured this man was ethical “now” And this Steve is also “training new lawyers?” this firm stay away .. do not believe one word they have done nothing but drag it out to get paid more money and take all of your settlement.. ok most of it .. definitely not 45% or close … i f you knew my settlement and what i was getting and what they were you would be appalled !! I will not change this rating nor adjust it … people need to know … and this is not made in haste… I am giving my original attorney a chance to rectify this … he is helping me he is caring and he is not from this firm…. he didn’t know how bad this was only their side and look at how many sanctions and thefts this attorney has … he is taking part of my settlement … they didn’t honor what was said …
