Randy Godin

I have known Mr. Randy Godin for many years; he was an excellent student in several of my courses, than he became a brilliant lawyer representing me in some legal cases involving employment discrimination, family law, and estate planning. I was very pleased with all the legal documents he prepared fo...r me. Not only did he assist me, he assisted my family for many things including, wills, trusts, power of attorneys and guardianships. He easily guided us through the processes and thoroughly explained everything in an easy manner. Attorney Godin took on my complicated injury case where I had to sue 8 different people and businesses. Attorney Godin advised me from the beginning about what would come and what to expect. Because of his great detail in advising me about my case and the process of law and courts, he made me feel co...mpletely taken care of. His way of keeping me informed about the process helped me understand what to expect. This calmed me. I know that he basically held my hand through the case and gave me great advice the entire time. Mr. Godin was our attorney and his level of communication and responses to the court were sub par to terrible. Starting with my deposition, Mr. Godin did not show up for a pre-deposition meeting we had set up and I was the one who flew the entire way across the country. Mr. Godin also completely "bu...ngled" our filing to oppose summary judgement. The word "bungled" was the word used to descried Mr. Godin's actions by his peers (I am not an attorney and only conveying something I have in writing from a higher authority in the legal system). We would also be happy to post the opinion of the court on here if needed to show how poorly Mr. Godin handled our case, particularly at Summary Judgement and during the discovery process - this is our opinion and based on the opinion of other attorneys who have read the opinion of the court. After the case was dismissed, we sent numerous e-mails and made at least 15 phone attempts to reach Mr. Godin for a explanation of what had happened and how he represented us, we were never been given any explanation to his actions as he refused to explain anything even though he said in an e-mail he would speak to us about the opinion of the court. We do not believe based on the opinion of the court we were represented in the manner requested and based on the facts stated in the opinion of the court, many of them were completely wrong about the case itself or the manner Mr. Godin presented it to the court. There were also other circumstances for discovery that Mr. Godin did not act in the manner we had requested (or if he did, they were not presented on our behalf at the summary judgement hearing), which definitely would have helped our case in summary judgement - again this our opinion based on other attorneys that have reviewed Mr. Godins actions.
