Joyce Anne Rebhun

I engaged JOYCE REBHUN to defend a personal and business audit. She required $11,000 to start, and this was a lump-sum to cover the case from beginning stages to it's culmination in Federal Tax Court. My troubles with this woman began when her response to emails often took days to weeks, and, frust...ratingly, her responses did not address the questions contained in the emails...which required another email and another unacceptable lag time. JOYCE REBHUN submitted three Protests, one for each year under audit, and all three were returned by the IRS as improperly/incompletely filled out. There was a 10 day grace period to resubmit the Protests, and she did not resubmit them. I believe this effectively destroyed any chance I had of appeal and negotiation of my case before having to deal with IRS Counsel prior to Federal Tax Court. After more unanswered emails, and non-answer "replies" to my communications, I asked JOYCE REBHUN to withdraw as my attorney, and to refund my money. She responded she would pro-rate the time she had spent against the money I paid. She has not returned any of this money, and refuses to do so, even though she did not enter into any negotiations with IRS Counsel or go to Federal Tax Court, which, she stated were included in the $11,000 fee. It is my belief that she has defrauded me of money. Further, she did not inform the Court that she was no longer representing me for weeks, so they could not contact me directly with documents. I ended up representing myself in this case. I received a letter yesterday from an attorney representing JOYCE REBHUN who has informed me that there will be an action against me for $1,000,000 because of my negative review. It is my belief that she has acted both incompetently and unprofessionally, and that she has defrauded me of money.
