Horrible, unethical, ill prepared, obstructive, awful

He needs to retire. He has no idea what he is doing, which just racks up your fees. He has no clue what is going on in your case so he drags it out. He doesn't review any documents he receives from the other side, but he bills you for reviewing it. Then he says he has to take depositions where he ask...s for the same questions again. He is a mess in Court. Papers falling out of his hands. He didn't even know my children's names when we were in Court after $100,000.00 a year on the case. He is rude and unprofessional. He completely ruined my case and my families life. Do not think twice about hiring him. Dealing with him and the aftermath of the train wreck he left behind was worse than the actual divorce. Attorneys like Bob Cohen should not be allowed anywhere near a Family Law courtroom. Hiring him was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life.

Be careful, very careful.

He is incompetent and dishonest. He blusters his way through most situations. He does not prepare well and does not accept any blame for bad results. Indeed, he tries to mitigate bad results by saying that he expected worse! He omitted a very large liability from a report which resulted in a large a...ward to my ex. His own staff hates him and would prefer not to be working with him. Anyone who is associated with this person would have to either be desperate or equally dishonest.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
