Newton Chun Tak

Newton assists businesses and individuals overcome commercial and financial challenges. He handles complex, multi-party disputes and general business litigation matters, as well as transactional matters. Experienced in all aspects of litigating real estate and insurance disputes, and with a commercial real property management and construction background, he has successfully represented developers, contractors, brokers and insureds in pursuing and defending claims.

Newton has advised large institutions and start-up ventures in a wide array of undertakings, including real estate transactions, technology licensing, copyright and trademark strategy, domestic and global commerce, clinical research, and entertainment contracts.

Before joining Salisian | Lee LLP, Newton was associated with a boutique litigation firm, where he secured a defense settlement for less than the filing fee in a zealously contested unlimited jurisdiction dispute, in addition to securing other defense settlements well below projected valuations. He attained a favorable appellate ruling on behalf of plaintiffs.
