As a federal prosecutor in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles, Adam served as Deputy Chief of the Office’s Government Fraud, Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section, where he supervised a wide range of criminal cases and trained federal prosecutors on investigative techniques, grand jury practice, and trial advocacy. Adam was lead counsel on several high-profile investigations and trials in the Central District of California, including matters involving government fraud, corporate fraud, public corruption, organized crime, espionage, and civil rights violations. Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Adam was an Assistant District Attorney in Queens, New York City, where he served in the homicide investigations, Supreme Court trial, and appellate bureaus.
After leaving the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Adam was a partner at McDermott, Will & Emery, where he represented Fortune 500 companies, board members, and senior management in high profile matters, including securities fraud, FCPA, criminal antitrust, RICO, and complex civil litigation.
Adam has served as lead trial counsel in more than thirty federal and state trials. He has also successfully argued numerous cases before both federal and state appellate courts.
Adam’s approach to representing clients is enhanced by his extensive business background. Adam served as CEO and General Counsel of two companies with national footprints, one of which he founded. Adam also served as the division president of an industry-leading company.
Adam’s executive experience includes overseeing corporate compliance, including supervising internal investigations and regulatory compliance matters, managing litigation, and leading strategic negotiations.
Adam’s combined business and trial counsel experience enables him to identify and decipher the key issues facing companies and translate them into compelling narratives for government regulators, juries, and the court.
