DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY Ksenya is extremely pleasant during the consultation process, but my experience changed dramatically once I became a client. She refused to get on the phone and insisted almost exclusively on email communication, even while I was dealing with one of the most stressful ...periods of my life. Because she rarely spoke directly with me, she repeatedly misunderstood important facts and then blamed me when her assumptions turned out to be wrong. One example involved my ex entering my property after Ksenya had already threatened a DVRO and specifically instructed the other side that exchanges were to remain curbside and that he was not to enter the property. I provided her with Ring camera screenshots showing him entering the property. I also provided screenshots of my ex admitting that he entered the property and claiming he did so to offer condolences to my mother over the loss of her dog. My mother wanted nothing to do with him, had already blocked his phone number, did not invite him onto the property, and was startled by his arrival while she was alone. Instead of addressing the fact that he violated the very boundary she had previously established, Ksenya accused me of giving her half the story and accepted his excuse that he was only there to offer condolences. The issue was never whether he had an excuse. The issue was that he entered the property at all. She completely missed the point and appeared more interested in defending his explanation than advocating for her own client. When I challenged her interpretation, she repeatedly accused me of withholding information rather than acknowledging that the evidence I provided showed exactly what I was complaining about. Communication was dismissive and often condescending. When I asked what I should do after my ex removed substantial funds from our joint account and I expressed concern that our mortgages were heading toward default, she did not address the risk of default at all. Instead, she chastised me, stating that we both used the account as a personal piggy bank so I could not blame him. She then told me to take money out of the account too, followed by the comment that it was going to be an accounting nightmare. The remark came across as sarcastic and dismissive, as though the financial crisis I was describing was not worth taking seriously. Rather than providing meaningful advice or addressing the possibility that we could default on our mortgages, she brushed the issue aside entirely. Perhaps most frustrating was her inability to admit mistakes. Even when presented with emails, screenshots, admissions, and Ring footage contradicting her conclusions, she doubled down rather than reconsidering her position. The relationship ultimately ended with threats that if I did not immediately sign a Substitution of Attorney, the court would know that she had fired me. That kind of intimidation was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If you want an attorney who listens carefully, communicates directly, understands the facts before taking a position, and treats clients with respect during a difficult divorce, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
