As an entertainment lawyer, I represent film, TV, music and art clients around the world. I am primarily a dealmaker - I negotiate contracts and help arrange new opportunities for my clients. In this sense, I often act as a "business affairs" executive for my clients. I am just as concerned about keeping a deal active as my clients, and much of my success is due to my ability to strategically assess a deal from BOTH a business and legal perspective.
My clients sit on both sides of the artistic fence - talent and corporate - and include producers, directors, writers, actors, musicians, record labels, production companies, financiers, fashion labels, painters & art galleries, models & photographers, corporations and private individuals. This broad client base allows me to understand and anticipate problems from both sides of a deal.
I received a bachelor of arts in economics from UCLA and my law degree from Georgetown University. I spent five years doing business strategy in the dotcom boom prior to law school, and since 2003 my entire law practice has been dedicated to the entertainment industry. My professional experience covers every transactional aspect of the entertainment business, including theatrical & TV distribution, brand & property licensing, talent agency & management engagement, production financing & tax credits & offshore banking, music distribution, music & literary publishing, integrated sponsorships, and everything else associated with running a successful branded entertainment business. I also represent clients in entertainment related arbitration proceedings and pre-litigation settlement negotiations.
Please feel free to contact me if you need assistance with any of the above.

Chris NEVER keeps me in the dark and is always very promp...

A good fit
Christopher Nunes is a good fit for our company. We don't need a big law firm, but that doesn't mean we don't need someone who really knows their way around the entertainment industry, copyrights, etc. Chris has written many music licensing agreements for us. Some of them for big projects involving v...
