Plaintiffs buyers sued sellers of a pharmacy for fraud in the inducement. At the time of purchase, the sellers had represented that a large portion of the income of the pharmacy was from Medicare pati ... ents with a special dietary requirement. Plaintiffs eventually learned that the Medicare sales were fraudulent. Through heavy litigation, and the use of experts in the fields of Medicare requirements, forensic document examiners, and an economist, plaintiffs prevailed, and were awarded compensatory damages, as well as punitive damages. The California Court of Appeals for the Second District affirmed the judgment.
