Sofia Katarina de Guzman

Sofia earned her Juris Doctor from UC Hastings College of the Law and her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed a minor in Legal Studies and Business Ethics through the Wharton School.

After her admission to the State Bar of California in 2024, Sofia returned to her hometown of Stockton, California to fulfill her promise to serve her community. She spent the early part of her career representing clients there in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, probate matters, and trust administration. Now at Jacoby & Meyers, she’s expanding her practice to serve personal injury clients across the state. Sofia works closely with clients through every step of their case — building strategy, fighting for their rights, and ensuring they never feel alone in the process.

Outside the office, Sofia enjoys attending music festivals and K-pop concerts, as well as traveling with her corgi. She values making meaningful connections and bringing a thoughtful, client-centered approach to her work, allowing her to advocate with empathy and understanding.
