Immediate Relief during a difficult time

I'm an attorney myself and would have filed and argued my own divorce except that I was overseas. I'm glad it worked out that way because divorce can be so stressful that dealing with it on your own would be that much more difficult. My ex was bitter about the split and wanted to hurt me emotionally ...and financially. Even though we barely had any assets, he employed a shark of a divorce lawyer to bury me in paperwork. Michael addressed the issues rationally, without me even having to be in the country! He provided excellent and fair legal counsel. He wanted me to get what I deserved, without spending a ton of money on legal fees. My ex's attorney made threats and piled on discovery as intimidation tactics, knowing that it would cost me legal fees. Michael didn't buy into it and kept his cool, while keeping me calm all along. Another attorney could have taken advantage of the situation to make more money. Instead, Michael did his best to save me money and stress by not engaging my ex's attorney when it wasn't necessary. Michael also gave me personal attention by responding to emails and phone calls during times of extreme stress and uncertainty. He was patient and rational when I wasn't able to be. A divorce and get so emotional that having someone be the voice of reason saved me. The divorce itself felt like I had no control, but with Michael, I was able to regain some of that control and maintain my dignity the whole time. His fees were reasonable, considering the work and personal attention he gave to my case. And considering how difficult it is to go through such an emotional process without any specialized family law knowledge. I was able to resolve the entire matter while overseas and that says a lot about how capable and thorough Michael is. I recommend him for anyone going through this phase of life.

Reliable & Reasonable fees

Divorce is hard. I couldn't have done it alone. Expense was a big concern for me. Though Michael's fees are probably the going rate for a family law attorney, I was confident that he didn't waste his time on non-issues just to make more money. Being able to trust an attorney, during a divorce in Los ...Angeles of all places, is unique.
