Katherine Ward Kehr

Katherine Kehr is a senior counsel with Capstone Law, where she litigates consumer and employment class actions.  Significant matters she has worked on include Brown v. Super. Ct. (Morgan Tire), Brown v. Ralphs Grocery, Inc. andIskanian v. CLS Transportation Los Angeles.  Katherine also has extensive experience with issues relating to arbitration, particularly in protecting clients’ claims from forfeiture in the face of arbitration agreements.

She began her career and received her training as an associate at Selman Breitman LLP.  While there, she handled all aspects of pre-trial litigation, in both state and federal court, on insurance coverage matters primarily involving commercial general liability and errors and omissions policies, including contribution, subrogation and bad faith actions.  She also authored coverage opinions. Katherine graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School Of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Richard D. Savell of the Alaska Superior Court and the Honorable Anthony J. Mohr of the Los Angeles Superior Court.  She received her undergraduate degree in French literature cum laude from Bryn Mawr College.  Katherine plays the cello and has been a member of the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic since its inception in January 2009.  In recent years, she volunteered with the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law by providing pro bono counsel.

Katherine is admitted to practice in California and before the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California.
