Depending on what kind of information or documents they needed, it may take 6 months or more. I would do an inquiry every 30 days.

Is he your sponsoring spouse? You cannot attend without him. You can write to them and ask to reschedule it once.

They may get rejected and returned to you. You can always take another sealed copy with you to the interview.
