Extremely Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience – Lack of Diligence and Fair Evaluation

I strongly do not recommend this law firm especially Mr. Brandes to anyone seeking serious, fair, and evidence-based legal representation. If your case requires real legal analysis and attention to detail, this is not the place to find it. My experience with Brock & Gonzales, specifically with M...r. Brandes, was deeply disappointing and concerning. I contacted the firm to discuss my employment case and provided all relevant documentation, evidence, and background details. Unfortunately, Mr. Brandes showed no genuine interest in reviewing or analyzing any of the materials I shared. Rather than taking the time to understand the facts or evaluate the evidence, he appeared to form quick opinions based on assumptions. His assessment seemed rushed, dismissive, and entirely disconnected from the documents I had provided. What’s most frustrating is that this firm advertises itself as one that supports employees, yet in practice, their approach feels one-sided — leaning toward defending the employer’s position without giving fair consideration to the employee’s evidence. Mr. Brandes did not take the time to even read the supporting documents or acknowledge the evidence that backed up my claims. Instead, he casually labeled my case as “too complex” and dismissed it without any thoughtful review. This kind of careless approach shows a lack of diligence, empathy, and professional responsibility.

I’m very sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience and that you felt your case was not given the attention it deserved. I take that kind of feedback seriously, and I genuinely regret that your interaction with me left you feeling unheard or dismissed. That was never my intention. I understand how much time and effort goes into gathering documents and evidence, and I appreciate that you shared those with me. Although I do not know who you are because you posted your review anonymously, I can tell you with utmost certainty that it is my custom and practice to review all materials provided by my potential clients before making my assessment. My law firm is entirely dedicated to representing employees and advocating for workplace justice. Declining a matter does not mean we doubt someone’s experience or side with an employer, rather it simply reflects whether we can realistically and responsibly pursue the claim within the constraints of the law, the evidence, and our current caseload. I strive to give every potential client an honest and timely evaluation. Sometimes, after reviewing the facts and applicable law, I may reach a conclusion that the firm cannot move forward. I understand how that can feel abrupt, but I believe it’s more respectful to give a candid assessment rather than offer false hope or delay a difficult decision. I sincerely wish you the best moving forward, and I hope you’re able to find counsel who can take your matter and give it the attention it deserves. Your feedback is a reminder of how important it is to communicate clearly about our evaluation process, and I will take that to heart. Respectfully, Christopher Brandes
