Professional Background
Jeff Briggs commenced practice as a business litigator in 1981 at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Los Angeles, where he became the firm’s youngest partner in 1989. Jeff was a long-time member of Gibson Dunn’s firmwide Recruiting Committee.
From February 1996 through December 2006, Jeff was a partner in the Litigation Department at Los Angeles’ Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan LLP. Jeff headed the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, worked with the commercial and entertainment litigation groups as well as the transactional group, and served for ten years as the firm’s Marketing Partner.
Establishment of Briggs Law
Jeff Briggs founded Briggs Law in January 2007 to provide effective and efficient legal services to businesses in and around the resurgent Hollywood district of Los Angeles. The area has been underserved by the legal profession; Jeff saw a need for the architects of Hollywood’s renaissance to have local representation. Jeff lives and works in Hollywood, and he commutes by foot, bicycle, and subway whenever possible. See also Community Involvement.
