Not good as consulting attorney in mediation.

Sadly, If I could give less than 1 star I would. I hired Jennifer Winestone in 2018 as my consulting attorney in divorce. Unfortunately it proved to be a terrible choice. The language she used in our agreement was vague and ambiguous -leaving the biggest issues (parenting plan and medical expen...ses for 4 children) "pursuant to mutual agreement". and NOTHING to fall back on in case of not being able to agree. Never being divorced before and having a good relationship at the time with my soon to be ex- We had no idea what a problem this ambiguity would become. Now my ex husband and I have spent the past 6 months in court resolving the issues that should have been laid out in detail in our judgement. Jennifer effectively created conflict by not addressing some of the most basic yet MOST IMPORTANT issues that exist when going through a divorce with children. A detailed agreement keeps families out of court. Jennifer did not do her job well. I have spent more money than I have trying to resolve issues that Jennifer should have made sure would never create conflict between my ex and me. . Our children have suffered seeing the breakdown of our relationship. Jennifer is not capable of dealing with a high conflict or imbalance of power/finances between the parties as mine was-despite her Bill Eddy training. I was a stay at home mom divorcing a highly successful business man. I chose mediation precisely to keep my family out of court. I chose Jennifer because of her claims of skills and training and because she is a mother. She gave me false and completely inaccurate information about child support despite my asking very clear questions. I am spending my savings in court/attorney fees. *important prior to posting a review I have reached out to Jennifer to try and find resolution with her. I believe everyone makes mistakes and was willing to work with her to resolve theses things privately. She has refused- therefore I am left no choice but to make sure that no other woman/family has to go through what ours has. It is awful. I have shown my judgement package to many attorneys. every one of them saying that it is the poorest written judgement they have ever seen. Protect your family and your financial well-being.

I work with people going through very difficult times and I understand how painful the process of divorce can be. I am very sad to read these comments and, needless to say, I do not agree with what has been written, as previously discussed privately with this client. However, I am bound by my duties of confidentiality not to discuss any of the details, even to rebut them.
