Biography
Jeffrey Liao is an associate at Russ August & Kabat, where he specializes in intellectual property and litigation. Mr. Liao's practice focuses on patent litigation, with extensive experience in Hatch-Waxman/ANDA pharmaceutical patent litigation. In addition to litigation matters, Mr. Liao also has substantial experience in advising on the intellectual property aspects of corporate and bankruptcy-related transactions and conducting related due diligence, and in negotiating licensing and other agreements related to intellectual property.
Prior to joining Russ August & Kabat, Mr. Liao was a lawyer in the New York offices of Morgan & Finnegan LLP, Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP, and King & Spalding LLP from 2004 to 2012, where he was a member of the Intellectual Property and Litigation workgroups.
Mr. Liao earned his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he graduated cum laude. Mr. Liao earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry, with general and departmental honors, from Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Liao is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and German.
