I came to US in 2008 with J1 Visa. Been paying taxes religiously since. Is there any way for me to obtain legal status? Thanks

Paying your taxes is nice, of course, but that does not get you legal status. Why don't you pick up the phone and call Mr. Solow for help?

It sounds like you meet the substantial presence test for 2014 so that you will need to file an IRS Form 1040. Talk to a competent local CPA.
