It would be much smarter to keep paying your rent and resolve it in a different way. Doing this prevents them from having a theory to evict you.

You can hire an attorney to move to vacate the eviction and then report to have it removed from your credit history.

It will. It just takes a long time. I had the same thing happen to me in Oklahoma and I couldn't renew my license until I paid it off.

I don't think it is late because the final day fell on a Sunday and thereby allows for compliance by Monday.
