I have been in intellectual property practice for over 40 years. My current practice focuses on preparing and processing patent and trademark applications in the USPTO. I also do patent and trademark litigation. My clients are generally small business and individuals. My goal is to help my clients get the best protection possible from their intellectual property creations whether it is a patent, a trademark, or a copyright. The goal however is not only highest quality results, but also counseling clients to ensure that their purposes are well understood so that the investment decisions in costs such as patents are consistent with a well defined plan. We give our efforts at costs to clients that make the investment compatible with the client’s resources.
I graduated in 1965 from Boston University School of Law where I was Managing Editor of the Law Review. I graduated in 1962 from Northeastern University with a B.S. ME/EE.
In 1989 I went into private practice having been in corporate practice up until that time.
Before I went into private practice I had the following experience:
1984-89 Division Counsel for the Satellite Navigation Division of Philips Electronics (North American Philips Corp.).
1973-1984 Patent and Licensing Counsel for TRW Inc.
1970-73 Patent Attorney for W.R. Grace Chemical Corp.
From 1966-1968 I was on active duty in the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps. My job was to define the functional specifications for unmanned aerial surveillance systems for the Army of the future. In preparation for that assignment I had been qualified as a U.S. Army engineer Officer, U.S. Army Infantry Office, U.S. Army Airborne Officer, U.S. Army Intelligence Officer and Arial Surveillance Officer.
