Brian Patrick Lepak

Mr. Lepak is certified as a Specialist in Family Law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He received an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science and Law from the University of Wisconsin in 1984, and a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1987. He was a partner at the former and preeminent family law firm of Trope and Trope LLP in Los Angeles. Brian opened his own law firm in 2016 when Trope and Trope LLP chose to close with Sorrell Trope's retirement.

Brian is in his fourth consecutive year as chair of the Law Practice Management & Technology Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He was also co-chair of the Family Law Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association for 2015-2016 and was on the Board of Governors for that Association for two consecutive two year terms ending in 2020. In 2019 Mr. Lepak received the prestigious President's Award for his efforts with the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He is also a member of the Family Law Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, currently serving as the co-chair of the Section Membership Committee, while also on the Legislative Committee and Social Media Committee for the Family Law Section of that Association.

Brian frequently participates as a panel speaker for the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, speaking on topics ranging from trial preparation, mock trials, social media, spousal support, modification of orders, and demonstrative evidence. He has lectured to attorney and business groups on topics such as date of separation, dividing businesses, child support in high wage earner cases, and fiduciary duties owed between spouses. He lectured via live webcast for the Family Law Intensive Course (FLIC) offered by CEB/Continuing Education of the Bar on the topics of Professional Responsibility and Marital Property.

Mr. Lepak has been selected regularly by his fellow bar members for inclusion in Los Angeles Magazine's "Super Lawyers Southern California."
