In the mid-1990s, he volunteered for the Los Angeles County Superior Courts and later the United States District Court - Central District Employment Mediation Panel. Beginning in 2008, Mr. Serratore began offering private, full-time Mediation Services.

Between 1989 and 1994, Mr. Serratore represented corporate defendants and insurance companies in employment and civil litigation matters in Southern California. In 1994, Mr. Serratore joined a plaintiff’s side litigation firm at the invitation of a former adversary where he developed an employment law practice from scratch. In 1997, Mr. Serratore formed his own law firm exclusively representing employees and businesses in employment-related matters. Two years later Mr. Serratore formed Serratore • Ames LLP with his former law school friend and colleague. The firm enjoyed ten years of success before Mr. Serratore began meditating on a full-time basis.
Mr. Serratore is a Member and Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, and various other professional organizations. Mr. Serratore was elected Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. Mr. Serratore is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section, Los Angeles County Bar Association Labor and Employment Section, the California Employment Lawyers Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association.
Mr. Serratore is a frequent speaker at seminars and events sponsored by the Labor & Employment sections of the American Bar Association and California State Bar, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association, Pasadena Bar Association, as well as for the California Employment Lawyers Association, and California Lawyer Magazine.
