Matthew Tyler Hale

Matthew Hale serves as Assistant Director of Litigation for Greenberg Gross. He is a passionate advocate for employees throughout the state of Nevada. Having represented hundreds of employees in their legal matters, Mr. Hale has come to know that a person’s job is a vital part of their identity. When someone loses their job or suffers discrimination, retaliation, or harassment while employed, it can have devastating effects on their mental and emotional health, not to mention their financial security. As an attorney, Mr. Hale has not only secured tens of millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients, but has also had the privilege of proudly standing by his clients, fighting to restore their sense of self-respect and integrity.

Before becoming a plaintiff’s employment lawyer, Mr. Hale practiced in various fields of litigation, including catastrophic injury law, business law, consumer class action, entertainment/copyright law, and Title IX Sexual Assault. Having found his passion, Mr. Hale has since practiced exclusively in employment and labor law, representing employees in disputes involving employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, wage and hour violations, and violations of medical, pregnancy, and family leave laws. Mr. Hale has vast experience obtaining impressive results for his clients at all stages of litigation, up to and including trial. In early 2023, Mr. Hale and his colleagues secured a jury verdict of $5.4 million in a whistleblower retaliation matter in Los Angeles Superior Court. Prior to that, Mr. Hale and team obtained a $1.15 million settlement on behalf of a UC Santa Cruz student that was sexually assaulted by her professor.

Mr. Hale received his law degree at the University of California, Los Angeles and his undergraduate degree from Harvard University. During his time at UCLA, Mr. Hale worked at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where he fought on behalf of low-income tenants around Los Angeles against exploitative landlords. For several years, Mr. Hale has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Employment & Labor.
