Jennifer P. Burkes

Jennifer P. Burkes, Esq., is a Senior Partner & Strategic Advisor, PI Litigation Department, at Wilshire Law Firm. Jennifer has over 30 years of experience handling Catastrophic Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Traumatic Brain Injury, Roadway Design/Dangerous Condition, Motor Vehicle Accident, Premises Liability, and Product Liability cases. In her role as Strategic Advisor, Jennifer offers her experience and advice throughout the PI Litigation Department to ensure that every client and every case is receiving the utmost care and support.

Jennifer has extensive trial experience and has been first chair in numerous cases resulting in 7-figure verdicts. Throughout her career, Jennifer has also secured remarkable settlements for her clients. In 2025, Jennifer had the #1 highest settlement in California in residential premises liability.

Jennifer holds a B.S. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and taught high school English before obtaining her J.D. from the University of Mississippi. Following law school, she completed a prestigious federal clerkship for the Hon. E. Grady Jolly, United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. When her law office in Mississippi was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to Los Angeles and is now admitted to practice law in both California and Mississippi.

Jennifer continues to make a lasting impact in the legal field, providing exceptional representation and fighting for justice on behalf of all of Wilshire Law Firm’s personal injury clients. Outside of her law practice, she and her husband are the proud parents of one daughter, and she is passionate about SEC football and her two Exotic Longhair cats.
