Bruce Sherman Gelber

I am so glad Mr. Gelber handled my work comp case. He is a compassionate person and helped me understand all the response why my case was taking so long. When I broke down crying in his office because of the stress, he listened and treated me with respect and answered all my questions. My employer k...ept postponing his side of everything and kept demanding I see more doctors and reschedule the court dates. Mr. Gelber made sure I was able to see my doctors even though my employer was trying to interfere. It all worked out good in the end thanks to Mr. Gelber.

I only met mr. Gelber on the first day of hiring him, since then Emmy Velazquez has been the only contact with mr. Gelbers office. We have been requesting to meet with Bruce Gelber for over 2 years and yet have not seen or heard from him directly. We also been requesting for the copies of case files... since early 2017 and have not received it. We went to their office to get information about Mandatory Settlement Conference that has been scheduled for 4/16/2019. After asking detailed questions about the case, Emmy Velazquez got aggravated raised her voice and told us "GET OUT OF MY OFFICE, I AM FIRING YOU, GO FIND A NEW ATTORNEY" After requesting to speak with my attorney Bruce Gelber, she went in to his office, came back and said "mr Gelber does not want to speak with you". We refused to leave until we can get copies of the files or a statement of why they no longer want to represent. Emmy called building security and police to escort us from the building. Worked out for us, got the police report and filled an Attorney Misconduct Complaint with State Bar of California.
