Catherine is an experienced litigator. She has handled a wide range of complex business disputes in state and federal courts. She has litigated commercial disputes involving employment, securities, corporate and real estate matters. Her broad knowledge includes representing clients in complex product liability and class actions. Her successful employment law practice includes the representation of high-level securities industry professionals in suits against employers, typically involving wrongful termination, protected-class discrimination, unfair business practices, unfair competition and note-related claims.

- The representation of high-level individuals affiliated primarily with the securities industry, such as financial consultants, branch managers, brokers, and investment bankers, in both arbitrations and litigations against their former employers and in investigations or enforcement proceedings conducted by the Securities and Commodities regulators.

- The defense and prosecution of claims involving bonus disputes, wrongful terminations, U-5 defamation, failures to pay compensation (frequently involving stock options), whistle-blowing, gender discrimination, race discrimination, age discrimination, disability discrimination, harassment, and slander. These actions are typically arbitrated at FINRA (formerly the NYSE or NASD), but can also litigated in Court (depending on the claims) or mediated.
