Statement of Complaint I am filing this complaint against Attorney Robert Doble, Esq., for professional misconduct related to a business venture involving legal services and partnership obligations. I entered into a written agreement with Mr. Doble and a third party, Sean Kim, to form a law firm k...nown as Los Angeles Wilshire Law Group. Under this agreement, I was to provide legal document preparation services, and I was promised 33% of all revenue generated by the firm. Sean Kim was to handle marketing services. Mr. Doble was the only licensed attorney involved. Over the course of several months, we generated over $100,000 in revenue. However, I was never paid for my work. Mr. Doble failed to incorporate the business as agreed and ultimately retained all proceeds. These actions appear to violate multiple provisions of the California Rules of Professional Conduct, including: Rule 1.5 (Fees for legal services) Rule 5.4 (Financial arrangements with nonlawyers) Rule 8.4 (Misconduct, including dishonesty or misappropriation) I believe Mr. Doble used his position as an attorney to unjustly enrich himself, failed to honor contractual and ethical obligations, and entered into a prohibited business relationship with nonlawyers. I request that the State Bar investigate this matter and take appropriate disciplinary action.
