Oscar Acevedo

Oscar was hired to represent me on what he called a "simple contracts case" He failed at the very basics of what it means to be a lawyer. Because of his malpractice, we lost our court case and were ordered to pay over 100K in attorney fees to the other side. Our home is our biggest asset and we face...d possibly having a lien and or having our house auctioned off to pay the other sides attorney fees. We had to hire another lawyer who put the fear of God in him and he rectified this by settling with the other side and paying the other side the amount i was ordered to pay by the judge. To this day, he has not apologized to us nor offered us any kind of compensation for all the money we lost. Had Oscar done his job, we would have won our case. We hired an expert witness to do a report and Oscar failed to turn it in on time. Judge wouldn't allow an exception to use the expert witness report and so, we went into court without an expert making a statement. The amount of mental stress this caused me and my family is indescribable. Because of his negligence we are out at least 60K in out of pocket expenses as well as legal expenses.

Oscar Acevedo failed as a lawyer for my family, his services did not in any way benefit the case that was at hand. Basically, the job that Oscar did, could have been done, if not better, by a public attorney. My family lost money and time in putting our trust in him. At the end of the day we didn't r...eceive any good result from the services of Oscar Acevedo and were very disappointed with him.
