Bruce’s career as a Deputy Attorney General in the Los Angeles and Sacramento offices of the California Department of Justice spanned more than 30 years. He spent his entire career as a litigator in the Civil Division of the Attorney General's Office. During this time, he handled cases dealing with medical malpractice, torts and condemnation, administrative law, and civil rights actions. Bruce has appeared before the California Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and trial counsel in complex litigation, including a six-month jury trial over the Linda Levee break in Northern California, where the State obtained a favorable jury verdict. He received an Attorney General Team Award for his efforts in that case.
Bruce has organized and been a presenter at several MCLE Programs including Medical Malpractice and Civil Rights presentations.
