I have been a Los Angeles deputy district attorney for over 25 years. I am currently assigned to the Public Assistance Fraud Division. In addition, I am an adjunct professor/lecturer for the Univesity of California at Irvine School of Law, where I teach criminal procedure, advanced criminal procedure, and ethics for the prosecutors and defenders.
In 2006, I was the plaintiff in the US Supreme Court case, Garcetti v. Ceballos, 547 U.S. 410, which focused on the First Amendment rights of government workers.
