Negligence and Unprofessionalism

I was seeking justice in an eviction case that had already caused me immense stress and financial strain. Unfortunately, the attorney I entrusted with my case, Daniel Choi, not only failed to represent me effectively but also displayed unprofessional behavior that made the situation even worse. From... the very start, Daniel Choi showed little interest in my case. Despite my efforts to provide him with all the necessary documents and evidence, he rarely responded to my emails and phone calls. When he did, his responses were dismissive and often late. I would send him critical updates and inquiries, only to hear back days later, long after deadlines had passed. It became clear that my case was not a priority to him. His terrible behavior extended beyond his lack of communication. During the few meetings we did have, he showed up unprepared, disorganized, and appeared uninterested in the details of my case. I was forced to remind him of basic facts multiple times, facts that should have been at the forefront of our defense. He constantly interrupted me when I tried to explain the situation and even ridiculed some of my concerns, belittling my understanding of the process. The final blow came during the court hearing. Not only did Daniel Choi arrive late, but he was also woefully unprepared to present a coherent argument. He forgot crucial documents that we had discussed, misrepresented key facts of the case, and failed to cross-examine the opposing party properly. His unprofessional demeanor in court was embarrassing—he spoke in a rushed and erratic manner, which confused both the judge and myself. At one point, the judge had to remind him of basic courtroom procedures. What’s worse, when the verdict came down against me, Daniel Choi showed no remorse or accountability. Instead, he blamed me for the loss, claiming I hadn’t provided him with the right information, even though I had sent everything well in advance. He seemed more concerned with collecting his fees than actually winning the case. His blatant disregard for my well-being and the outcome of the case made it clear that he never truly cared about helping me. In the end, I lost my case not because of a lack of evidence or merit, but because of Daniel Choi's negligence, incompetence, and blatant disregard for his duties as my attorney. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also unethical, leaving me without justice and facing severe financial and personal consequences.
