Jesse Ruiz

Hiring Costen Ruiz turned out to be a mistake. I should have known when I heard another client of theirs in the law firm’s lobby complaining about how unorganized and unprofessional they were. In addition to the many last-minute cancellations I had to deal with, the attorney assigned to me, Lauren..., was very rude and talked to me like I was a child. Yet, she was the one who ended up being unprepared with my case. I had to call in the owner, Jesse, just to get Lauren to stop yelling at me. That’s when the owner apologized and stated that their firm did not specialize in tenant-landlord cases like mine and didn’t feel they could offer me the representation I deserved. Then Jesse explained that they would substitute out of my case and refund my $3,500 dollars for my troubles. But within days the owner would go back on his word and suddenly claim that the firm didn’t owe me anything?? Jesse then offered to give me a total refund - but if I didn’t write a bad review about his firm. But being a man of principle, I declined his offer and instead encouraged him to keep his word and simply refund my money as promised. The firm ultimately would ghost me, so I had no choice but to place a stop payment on my credit card. If that isn’t effective, I plan to take them to court. My goal is to always be transparent for others to benefit. So I have made sure to share my experience with other organizations and platforms. I am a 100% disabled Air Force veteran, and this is my true and sworn testimony.

I was charged with Attempted murder in Riverside. The DA initially wanted me to serve 7 years in state prison. I first stated my case with a public defender and they screwed me. The public defender wanted me to accept the offer without ever looking at my case. I was looking for an attorney to take my... case but they all wanted way too much money. I then spoke with Jesse Ruiz, who was very informative over the phone. When I met Jesse Ruiz in person, he looked young and it make me question whether he could handle the case. In the end, I decided to hire Jesse, because he was very helpful with the entire process. MY LIFE was on the line and no one seemed to care, except Jesse. He was very responsive and walked me through every step of the way. He was able to reduced my jail time to only two years in custody and caltrans. I was looking at 7 years but Jesse got it down to two. This experience has forever changed my life, but I am glad that I decided to hire Jesse. I would highly recommend him if you are in trouble. I hope I never have to use him again since he only does criminal law.
