On summary judgment, the trial court held that defendant infringed the plaintiff's patent for in-transit temperature recorders, and denied defendant's motion for invalidity. Defendant appealed. While o ... n appeal, we successfully defended against plaintiff's summary judgment motions for willfulness, damages, enhanced damages, and contempt. Shortly thereafter, the Federal Circuit reversed the trial court, found that several claims of the patent were invalid, and remanded for the trial court to determine if any of the remaining claims were valid. The parties then settled.
