Jesse B. Kalter

Jesse B. Kalter, Esq. has spent nearly two decades defending clients in Northern Nevada, personally handling thousands of criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. Known for his preparation, courtroom skill, and willingness to take cases to jury trial, Mr. Kalter has secured numerous successful verdicts, dismissals, and reduced charges for his clients.

Mr. Kalter earned his B.A. in English from Gettysburg College in 2001 and his J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 2005. He moved to Northern Nevada shortly after law school and was admitted to practice in Nevada and the U.S. District Court of Nevada in 2006. Early in his career, he opened his own law firm and handled a Lyon County indigent defense contract, gaining extensive trial experience across a wide range of criminal cases. In 2012, he entered full-time private practice with Jesse Kalter Law, P.C., where he became known for his commitment to protecting clients’ freedom and future.

Over his career, Mr. Kalter has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer Lifetime Member” by The Global Directory of Who’s Who and was named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers for 10 consecutive years. In addition to his criminal defense work, he has recovered millions of dollars for personal injury clients. After 19 years of mostly private solo practice, Mr. Kalter is honored to join Viloria, Oliphant, Oster & Aman as a partner in 2026.
